I like when a shop clearly shows pd, lens height and bridge width in millimeters. good packaging and a small storage bag are also nice touches for accessories. now i try to read as many real user reviews as possible before i buy anything. trendy pieces are fun, but i only buy them when the price is reasonable. when every picture has different colors or extreme filters, it is usually a bad sign. reading comments with real body photos is one of the best ways to check sizing.
if anyone is interested in real user experiences, i sometimes write short notes about the shops i test.

some care only about style, others focus on comfort and durability. price is important to me, but quality and comfort are even more important in the long run. i think it is better to build a small collection of reliable products than to buy random cheap things. metal can feel more premium, but acetate can be more comfortable for long wear. from my experience, communication with the store can tell you a lot. i also started paying attention to how websites display sizing charts for clothing. when a store shows clear shoulder width, bust, waist and length, it is much easier to choose. when it comes to eyewear, the small details really matter over time.
maybe this is useful for someone.
